Well, we’re still kicking painting around these here parts. The MIL came up and helped us get the primer on yesterday, then today, she finished priming the doors and drawers and KC and I finished the first coat of white on the cabinet frames.
Do you know how long it takes to paint a 33 cabinet and 15 drawer kitchen?
Uh…me either…cuz we’re still working on it.
Oh yes, and the granite countertops will be installed next Friday. *insert giant squeal of excitement here*
So…hopefully it takes less than 5 more days to paint a 33 cabinet and 15 drawer kitchen.
I will be SO happy to get things cleaned and functional around here again. Seriously.
And on the bright side…the kitchen.
No, for real…the kitchen IS bright now. With one primer coat and one paint coat, it’s not a perfect finish yet, but it is definitely brighter in that room. I’m not saying KC was right about painting the cabinets…but….well okay….he was right.
Don’t tell him I said so.
Haha.
And I don’t know how to say this without sounding like I’m complaining or negative…but I’m sick of painting at the moment.
And now, I’ve convinced the hubby that it would be in our best interest to go eat at the Mexican place tonight, and then swing in the grocery store next door to the restaurant to pick up some bread and crockpot meals for the next couple of days…so I’m off to figure out what I can throw in the crockpot next week so I will know what I need to grab from the grocery. =)
Just know…I’m still alive and I’ll have pictures (and a clean kitchen) someday…hopefully soon. =)
That's AWESOME girl! I've heard painting cabinets is a long process, but it sounds like you all have some speed! :) I'll have to remember that when we paint ours. lol.
ReplyDeletePS. Where do you get your crock-pot meals? I can't seem to find them in the freezer section any more. Unless you just mean this and that ingredients. :)
