Sometimes I'm Not So Smart

Like this afternoon, when I decided to mow our entire hill....er....yard with a push mower. Because, you know, I'm sweet to my hubby like that....and you know, I wanted to be more understanding of his efforts in yard mowing. And push mower b/c I haven't used a riding mower since I was living with mom and dad seven years ago, and it wasn't this much of a hill and I was a little nervous about trying to do this hill when I'm that out of practice.

Oh and then I didn't wear gloves.

And it's not a yard. It's a gigantic hill.

My blisters got blisters. Not that I'm complaining. Just much more understanding now!!!!!

I will sleep GOOOOOD tonight.

Ten on Tuesday

Since my Tuesdays hardly ever see a post these days, I thought maybe doing a weekly meme on Tuesday would make me get on and post something. Anyways, this one sounds interesting so I'm gonna give it a shot.

This week is 10 Superstitions, Traditions, and/or Personality Quirks:

1. I don't believe in superstitions.
2. Despite number one, I still knock on wood when I talk about something I don't want to jinx. LOL!
3. Also despite number one, I refuse to believe that Mondays are NOT out to get me.
4. The toilet paper must be put on the roll OVER, not UNDER. I'm not sure if that is a tradition or a personality quirk.
5. I am seriously grumpy in the mornings.
6. I have a horrible habit of developing good habits and then once they're a habit, breaking them in a moment of weakness. (A side note here, why are good habits so much easier to break than bad?)
7. I only mop the floor when I get tired of my feet sticking to it....that's a tradition. LOL.
8. Dr. Pepper is a huge weakness of mine....but most of you probably already knew that.
9. I eat ketchup out of the packet with my french fries instead of squeezing it out on the wrapper.
10. Instead of just shedding my clothes in the floor at the end of the day, if they're not dirty, I fold them neatly before dropping them in the floor in case I decide to wear them again before washing.

Anywho....so there's my ten and here's my post. Yay me. =)

It's Like Living In A Big City!

Well, remember the accident that happened in front of the house at the beginning of the month? You'd think stuff like that would not happen more than once in a year, much less more than once in a month. Seriously, to quote the neighbor, as we were, for the second time this month, all standing out in the front yard watching the showdown at the road right in front of our houses, "It's like I still live in the big city."

So, right as we're pulling in the driveway tonight, we pull over to get the mail and there's this kinda strange looking guy walking up the road toward us and I said...."ooh...that's kinda creepy," but anyways, we pulled up in the drive and started getting out of the car and getting ready to go in the house when suddenly there's like 5 police cars in front of the house and then an ambulance and they're strapping the guy to a board and haulin him off....and looking for his buddy who ran. Lemme tell ya...I feel very safe tonight. As far as we know they didn't find the buddy.

The neighbors actually went down to the road to find out what was going on and apparently the two people were involved in a hit and run like 2 miles away, got out, took the license plate off the car and ran. Apparently a white truck picked them up and then must have dropped them out and went on, but a witness saw the whole thing, followed them and called the cops. Naturally they caught them right in front of the house. I never saw the second guy, but they said he ran when the cops caught up with them. And the cops were combing the woods across from the house. The guy who they caught and took away in the ambulance had a gashed throat.

Anyways, it was pretty nuts.

Wonder what it will be next month!?!

Cricks and Crazy Dreams

Oh my heavens. So I woke up this morning after two crazy dreams and my neck was KILLIN me. Must have been because I was run over by a huge tank in my dream. No seriously, it killed me in my dream. Weirdest thing I've ever dreamed.

I know everybody has weird dreams and I know they really don't mean anything, so don't nobody read anything into this like I'm nuts or anything. For instance, my MIL has often woke up screaming about "THE RUSSIANS ARE COMING!!!" or "There's SHARKS outside!!!!" or "I just ran over a fire hydrant!!!" so really....I don't believe weird dreams say anything about a person. Then on the other hand.......(LOL....Just kidding).

Both dreams were like I was stuck in some kind of bad fiction....you know...stuff that never happens in real life. I don't remember much about the first one, or the beginning of the second one, but I sure remember the ending.

My name was Jessica and the guy that looked like Casey was named Nate and this other guy that was our friend was called Matt. Those are the only ones that I remember their names. Another really weird thing is that in the part of the dream before Jessica got killed, I wasn't her, I was somebody else (maybe me...haha) and the whole group of us were trying to escape from something or someone and we were leaving the building when this truck lost control and came skidding jack-knifed down the street (very much like that truck in Toy Story that almost takes out the toys while they're crossing the street) and that was the end of Jessica, Matt, and three others that I don't know their names.

Flash to the hospital and I'm suddenly Jessica only I don't really feel dead, I just know I was killed, but I'm walking around the hospital and I run into another one of my friends and I'm crying and telling them that I'm dead and I hug them and tell them bye and about our other friends who were killed and then I go find Nate to tell him that I'm dead. So I find Nate and I tell him about myself and our friends who were killed and we cry and I comfort him and next thing I know, he acts like I'm not there and I ask him if he can still see me and he says no but he can still hear me, so he says I love you and I drop some kind of card that says I love you, too, that he picks up b/c now he can't see or hear me. And then I watch him be really sad and I rub his back and cry with him but he doesn't know I'm there anymore.

Oh and by the way, I have no idea who any of the people were b/c I didn't know any of them from real life (despite the fact that I know people with those names in real life, it wasn't them) the only exception being the friend I ran into in the hospital.

I think that tops all the weird dreams I've ever had in my life. I hope that's not a sign. I really don't want to leave this particular life yet. LOL.

So yeah...now I've just got a crick in my neck from being smashed to smithereens by a massive truck.

K-man's up now and Munchkin's making some un-identifiable noises in her room, so I guess I better go change his diaper and find out what Munchkin's getting into.

3 Out Of 5 Aint Bad

So this makes 3 posts in 5 days. Now there may have been some "quality" over "quantity" issues where quality definitely got sacrificed, but hey, I'm not going to be picky about it. I'm just happy that I've started getting back into the posting more regularly again. I'll get back on the quality thing again later. LOL.

Well, I only worked two days this week and I have two workdays left. I took today off with comp time, and next Tuesday, I have a doctor's appointment, so I'll get to take that day as sick (since I just found out I won't get paid for the sick time accumulated but I WILL get paid for the leftover comp hours that I'll have), so I have next Monday and Wednesday and then I'll be worthless.

Well. Not really. But my income will be GREATLY diminished. And I'll spend my days clipping coupons and searching the sale ads to find out where I can find the best deal on crackers and all the other staples of the pantry. And you know....living on a budget. YUCK.

Monday should be interesting though. My "exit interview" is scheduled at 9:00am on Monday morning. My expectations of it going smoothly are not high. It is on a Monday, after all.

I'm really not sure what I'm going to do with myself after the house is tidied every day. I guess I will work on trying to get the scrapbooks caught up first since they are WAY behind. I haven't even TOUCHED K-man's and the Munchkin's is only half started. And the FAMILY album is still in 2006. OW. That's what happens when you only scrapbook one Saturday a month (if that) and you do it in a social setting which is very distracting (but much more fun). Of course, when I'm doing it here, Munchkin will be doing it with me, so it will still be rather distracting. LOL.

All in all, this should be a very interesting transition. If I get bored, I can always blog, right? HAH. Only thing about blogging when you're bored is that there's usually nothing interesting going on to talk about. LOL.

Hehe.

Anyways, I'm going to go do some digital scrappin now....or maybe I'll work on a blog header for Amy Lizzy. =) I think that's a swell idea. I'm in the mood. *grin*

Where Does The Time Go?

These days, it seems like I blog and then I turn around and it's been 3 days since I blogged. How DOES that happen anyways?

So I'm here now...for a limited time only since it's 9:59 and I'm whooped.

I took today off since I woke up with a scratchy throat and I've got comp time that needs to be used up before I leave anyways.....(besides all that, I needed to take advantage of one of the last opportunities I'll have at a "sick day" alone...you know, where I can call in to work and then take the kids to school and come back home and be by myself all day long. Somehow, I don't think that fits in anywhere in a mommy world.)

Where was I? Oh yes. I took off for my scratchy throat and ended up working harder than I would have if I'd gone in. LOL. Figures.

Things I did today (like it's some kind of big deal):
  • Made Munchkin's birthday party invitations. They're all done except I don't know yet where it's going to be at....so I haven't filled out all the info yet.
  • Printed off some princess-y coloring pages for munchkin's party.
  • Did a Fly-lady mission (decluttering and dusting the nightstands---okay, so it was only like a 15 minute mission so it's not like a major accomplishment, but hey....)
  • Washed 3 or 4 (I lost count) loads of laundry and folded about the same amount.
  • Finished the cleaning and swapping out of Munchkin's winter clothes to summer (which included bagging up a trashbag full to freecycle, a boxful to go to consignment, a single tote of winter clothes that she will hopefully be able to still fit in this fall, and half a tote of cute stuff that I want to keep in case I ever have a temporary lapse of sanity and take in another toddler foster child...LOL.)
  • Did the same thing to K-man's closet....ooh how I LOVE getting all that too little stuff out and knocking it down to the things he actually wears. I can actually SEE the shelves in the closet again. Yay!
  • Got the kids from school and gave them a bath and got them ready for church (oh there was so much drama in that small simple task)
  • Fixed supper
  • Made a mutual decision with KC that church tonight was out (he had to work, the kids were off the chart in meltdown-land)
  • Finished folding the last of the laundry and then collapsed for the evening.....although I didn't collapse in a fit like the kids seem to be prone to do tonight. Not sure if maybe it's the medicine they're on or what, but they have both been really ROUGH for the last week. I'm sure tired of it.

I'm actually tired of a LOT of things....like being sick....and having this itchy yucky throat cold (or allergies or whatever it is). Maybe I'll ask my $20 doctor about it next week at my scheduled visit. Hopefully she won't refer me to a $40 doctor who will tell me that colds generally go away on their own and don't need to do anything about them. LOL. And yeah...I'm tired of being tired, too. Oh and lets not forget being tired of kids throwing themselves on the floor and screaming because you had the nerve to close the closet door or sit their drink upright or step on the rug or some other such extremely EVERYDAY NORMAL thing.

Anyways...I'm tired of keeping my eyes open and it's already like 10:30. So I'm going to go close them now....well....maybe....just a few more minutes...hehe...I haven't checked my mail in like 5 minutes....just kidding...it's been ten....haha...just kidding again. Well anyways.

Monday Messages - The Tired Ones

Dear Monday,
Whew. Long day. As always. You just don't give me a break. Even when I took the day off...you still had no mercy. I'm just gonna have to give up taking off on your day. Wait...in a couple of weeks I'll be off every Monday. LOL. EEEEEEK. I'll have to lock myself IN the house on this day in the future. Heh. What can go wrong then? HA. JuSt kidding...don't worry, I'm not trying to tempt you or anything.
Sincerely,
Knows How Garfield Feels

Dear Munchkin,
I was OFF today for cryin out loud. Did you REALLY have to come bouncing into our room at 6:08am???? I know you didn't know I was off, but you know that just IRKS me even on days when I'm NOT off b/c hello....I don't have to get up until at least 6:30 and when you come bouncing in at that insane hour it really makes it difficult for me to complete my morning routine....or you know....SLEEP. I love you anyways though. Especially when you meekly go back to your room with a book to wait for daylight. LOL. Although when you do that, it does make me feel a little bad for being grumpy. HEH. Not TOO bad though. LOL.
Love,
Mom

Dear Bank Account,
I apologize for working you over today, it really isn't my fault, see prices on EVERYTHING are just skyrocketing and I know that's not something either of us can help, I just want you to know that I really did my best to avoid breaking you today. I even went so far as to spend at least an extra hour of the day comparing cost per ounce on a lot of the items that I was buying today so that I bought the absolute cheapest item. Let me tell ya, that takes a LOT of time. I hope you appreciate the special effort. Oh, yeah, and all the blisters on my fingers from cutting and organizing coupons so that I could get the lowest possible price on the things we had to have....well, I hope you appreciate that, too. I know my laundry isn't happy about all the time I spent saving money, since that kinda left it on the back burner for most of the day. There was that one thing though, that was a really huge waste of money, but I'll leave that for the next letter and I just hope you'll forgive this one error.
Sincerely,
The Lady Who Won't Be Depositing A Paycheck In You Much Longer....
(but is still taking them out...LOL)

Dear Orthopaedic Specialist,
I'm really not sure why my doc didn't just tell me herself, that a cyst on the finger usually goes away on it's own and as long as it isn't growing or hindering in daily activities or hurting without being mashed, it's no big deal and it should be left alone. No, instead she says it's probably nothing to worry about, but I should see you and have it removed. And then I go in and give myself finger cramps filling out all the patient forms and pay $40 dollars too much to sit in your waiting room for half an hour and then see you for less than 60 seconds (which is really all the time it takes for you to look at my finger and say exactly what I typed above that my doc didn't tell me herself). Oh and then you told me that if it does any of those things that were in that first sentence, then I should come back and pay another $40 dollars for you to look at it again. Except, you didn't say that part about the $40....and that sentence only took about 2 seconds of your less than 60 used. And then I walked out $40 lighter and wondering why the doctor who only cost me $20 couldn't have told me that....and saved me $40 plus a chunk of my precious time. Nuts.
Sincerely,
You Probably Don't Even Remember My Name

Dear K-man,
What's up with you, Grumpster??? All I know is you better be using the potty whenever you start wearing them crazy expensive pull-up things. And stop having end of the world meltdowns over the littlest little things. It's like the way it used to be and hey, I wasn't missin it. So you can put that little attitude away again and I won't be minding it one little bit!!!
Love,
Mommy

Dear Blog,
Again...apologies on the lack of posting these days....what can I say? I've been busy working on not breaking the bank....by whatever means necessary. LOL. Anyways....that's not likely to change anytime soon...the being busy with that, but I'll try to blog more frequently anyways.
Still ever devoted to you,
Always.Faith

I'm Becoming One Of "THEM"

You know....the bloggers I complain about! The ones who don't blog often enough to suit my nosy self. ROFL.

Anywho, I apologize for my absence. I've had a LOT of thoughts in my head lately and it seems they're the kind that are difficult to pin down to a blog post.

For starters, I've only got 9 workdays left on the job. I've pretty much ticked off my supervisor's supervisor by making a statement that kinda poked him for one of his most current shenanigans. I did my best to give this dude a chance. And every chance he got, he threw away. Some days, despite all attempts to remain positive about the situation, I'm convinced that he's deliberately driving away anyone he can't bamboozle (hey, THAT's a fun word....YOU try it. LOL). Anyways, although I'm really sad about leaving the few good people that he HASN'T managed to bamboozle or run off yet, I'm am SO not sad about getting away from the war zone.

So....in other news, Munchkin's having a birthday. I'm very undecided on how to deal with this. Well, how to deal, as in there are 2 birthday parties this weekend in which the whole church is invited to, and one the following weekend on the same day and at the only logical time for Munchkin's. And that one, I'm pretty sure that all the people that would be invited to Munchkin's will be at that one....goodness....MUNCHKIN was invited to that one. And don't get me wrong, I have no hard feelings about that at all. I'm just not sure what to do about it. Of course I'd like Munchkin to go, and even if we did our own little party here, I wouldn't want to take away any of the other parties' guests. What to do, what to do. KC suggested that we just have Munchkin's the following weekend since Munchkin is young enough that she really won't "KNOW" what day her birthday is actually on if we don't tell her. LOL. I think maybe that will be the best solution. But I'm not inviting the whole church. I know that WE certainly can't afford to go to *everyones* birthday and give *everyone* a present and I don't want people to feel obligated to bring presents for our kids either. And then there's another dilemma...if you invite one family but not another somebody gets offended. If I invite the whole church, it's overwhelming for us as well as Munchkin. This is so confusing. Last year, I said she's 3, we'll invite 3 kids and a few adults who are very connected to her life. She's four this year, and there's a lot more folks who are connected. And the other thing is her birthday is like less than two weeks away. EEEEEEK.

I AM pretty sure, though, that I've decided to do a princess party (which is actually another dilemma since most of our close connections and potential invitees are BOYS) and I'm going to do a castle cake....and I've seen some really cool ideas, so it could be very interesting. I DO have to solve the invitation dilemma REALLY soon though since it's coming up on us very quickly. YOW.

Okay, now that I've chattered a whole bunch about nothing, I was going to go pull up an old journal entry from ancient times b/c I remembered that I was really having an interesting time with KC about this time of year in 2001, however I didn't write anything on this day in 2001. So I flipped through some of my older and newer journals. Apparently, I have never written (and saved) anything from this day in history. Well...till now. LOL. So guess that idea will wait till another day. However, I sure did see some interesting stuff to use on other days. LOL. Flipping through there in search of this day in history reminded me of some very interesting facts. LOL. Like the fact that I spent countless entries gushing and mooning over this guy that WASN'T KC in the year 'before' KC and now that guy is like part of our family and the thought of feeling "that way" is super weird. I had totally forgot ALL about that. ROFL. Needless to say, if I ever get an interesting "day in history" post from any of my old writings, I'll HAVE to block out names...because they were sure full of lots of DIFFERENT names. I was so silly. LOL!!!! Some of it is just hilarious. One of these days.....

Heh.

Oh wait....I'm still kinda silly. *silly grin*

And there ya have it....a post for the sake of posting. =)

Monday Messages (another headache edition)

Dear Monday,
You are perfect for creating headaches. Today, at least, I guess I'm thankful it's just a headache in my head....not a headache in my wallet like it was a few weeks ago. I'm really tired though, and you haven't done much to help me. Not that you ever do....
Sincerely,
Agrees With Garfield

Dear Knot on My Finger,
You are freaking me out. GO AWAY. According to my blood, you are not arthritis. So what does that mean you are? You are definitely getting on my nerves. Literally. *sigh*
Freaking Out

Dear Work,
Precisely 12 more working days. I think I'm happy about that. When I'm not worried. You know I don't like change. But I think I'll manage. Maybe.
Sincerely,
Not a Career Woman anymore......

Dear life...
could ya let up a bit again? I find myself in need of another breather. Oh well. Perhaps in 12 days, huh? Right. HA.
LOL

Busy Life

Well, I fell asleep at 9:30 last night....wore out....

And since I fell asleep before blog time, well....obviously...no post. I'm really getting behind and I'm going to do better next week I hope.

In the meantime, I have to finish up here at work by lunchtime, have lunch with the girls, go get the Munchkin and take her to therapy @ 2pm, deposit a check at the bank, drop off some drinks at Sis B's for tomorrow's church workday, run back by the school and pick up the K-man, run home and dress them in clean clothes, meet up with KC and go to the big town down the road and meet our friends at Chuck-E-Cheeses @5pm to let all our kids (and the big kids we call our husbands) play for awhile....oh and to eat supper. LOL. And these places are NOT all located conveniently near each other. Yeah. So it's gonna be a busy afternoon.

Before I go, I thought I'd link you over to today's devotion, which I thought was very interesting...I'd just never thought of it that way, but it was a good thought. Food for thought anyhow. *grin*

Gotta run now. Catch ya'll later!

A Bit of Useless Information

It's been a busy couple of days trying to get back in the swing of real life in addition to being swamped at work, so I haven't really felt like posting, however, while laying on a really hard x-ray table at the doctor's office today, one of those "moments" just hit me.

I busted out laughing and then thought....oh.. I have to blog that. LOL.

What "moment," you're thinking?

Oh the moment when the x-ray tech chuckled and said, "You have glitter on your legs."

I was like, I have, huh? What? Okay....I do not put "glitter" on my legs. I put regular ol' Aveeno radiant skin lotion on my legs after shaving this morning but I saw no such glitter.

Well, a bit later when she made me roll over, I caught a glimpse of my knee under the x-ray lamp and my word if that x-ray lamp didn't make it sparkle to high heaven.

After she went out to take the x-ray, I was laying there looking up at the ceiling and I just couldn't help myself. I started snickering. (Then I made myself stop cuz I didn't want her to think I was crazy. Like crazier than putting glitter on my legs. HAHA.)

While it could be worse....like this post I read awhile back that for some reason pops into my memory..........I would still like to just inform you all that if you are ever going to get an x-ray and you don't want to be glittered up under the light....keep the Aveeno Radiant Skin Lotion in the bottle that day. Cuz while it doesn't look glittery under normal lighting, under rare circumstances, you will shine like the stars, baby!

Oh and the thought that went through my head that made me snicker??? I'm glad she's not a guy. How embarrassing. Oh well. But it could always be worse. HAHA.

By the way, I haven't done anything to my knee, but it started snapping at me every time I try to straighten it and has been causing a great deal of aggravation and pain for about a week now. Not sure what is going on...hence the doctor visit and x-ray.

It's Over

Hopefully my last fund drive....unless I decide to visit as a non-employee (LOL).

I am SOOO exhausted. I lost track of how many times I could have killed a crazy kook during this week. Bad part is that it was a different crazy kook almost every time. That's a lot of crazy kooks. UGHHHHH! And did I mention that PMS stands for Potential Murder Suspect? LOL! Double UGH!!!!

I'm so exhausted. Did I say that already? Oh yeah. I did. Well, it's a true enough statement that it's worth saying twice anyways.

Kids are back home. K-man was sweet enough to bless my wonderful darlin hubby with a few more deadly stinkbombs before the mom got home, so my hubby is now completely broke in. YAY FOR MY HUBBY!!! Oh I love that man!

For the record, when I said, "It's not as bad as you thought it'd be is it?"

He responded with, "NOOOO, it's WORSE!!! ROTTEN!!!!"

LOL!!!!

Guess I'll still get the majority of stinkness. Oh well. It's nice that I can feel confident about leaving them with him without worrying about him freaking out over it though. Well, you know....within reason. LOL.

Yes, the K-man is nothing if not regular. Three a day, boys. Except he won't do it in the potty. The little turkey. Oh well. We'll get there.

Well, I'm haulin my tired self off to bed now.

My Wonderful Hubby...

Happens to be a pathetic blogger. LOL. Love you, honey!

He was going to let this juicy bit of blog fodder just pass on by, and of course, I couldn't let that happen, so I decided to help him out a bit....even though it would have been MUCH better if he'd posted it himself.

He had a very eventful evening.

He came home and picked up the kids from school....got them home and was waiting on Mawmaw to come pick them up for the evening.....when he got a fully loaded stink bomb from the K-man. And since it was quite a bit before Mawmaw got here, he had to go ahead and change it.

Hang on a second....

BWAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Kay. I'm back.

So then he says, the munchkin, who is sitting at the table in her booster seat eating her snack, calmly announces that she just peed in her panties.

And, "It okay, Daddy" she says!

Daddy, in that complete tone of utter panic, says, "NO, it's NOT O-KAY!!!!!!!"

Hehehehehe.......he tells me later, "I think her BLADDER EXPLODED!!!! I have never seen so much pee!"

ROFL. Perfect.

Then after the kids left, he was sitting on the couch and heard a crunch outside....some people wrecked right in front of our house....like two cars and a third one that swerved and missed the accident. So him and our neighbor went out to check it out and he said there was lots of blood and they called 911 and had all kinds of excitement. Thankfully no one was seriously injured.

He said it took like 15 minutes for an ambulance, 20 for the Hwy Patrol.....good thing nobody was dying. LOL. Funny thing is, many moons ago, when the neighbor's mother, who was sitting on their back deck, looked down at our house and saw "smoke" coming out of the back and called 911, they had 15 trucks all over our yard in less than 10 minutes. Funnier thing is, that "smoke" was the steam coming out of the dryer......LOL. But it's nice that they were watching out for us anyways!

Anywho, so I had a long day and he had a "lovely" evening. LOL.

I'm whupped (again) and I get to go back at it at 7 in the morning. Oh well. Better than the last few mornings of leaving the house at 6:30. LOL. That is ALL of us leaving the house at 6:30....including getting the kids up and dressed and out of the house. Fun, fun, fun.

Oh but it's peaceful here tonight since the kids are at Mawmaws! WOOHOO!

Love them young-uns, but I shore am tired and appreciative of a little break. LOL. I wish I had energy to do something productive with this break, but oh well. Nuther time, perhaps.

Meantime....zzzzz. *grin*

Our Little Interior Decorator

Here's a funny I forgot until I was driving home tonight. I thought I'd better hop on and write it down while I'm remembering it.

Last night when I got home from work, I sat down at the table and watched KC and the kids eat their supper and KC mentioned the idea we've tossed up several times about just adding on to this house instead of looking for a bigger one. He was like, where's some paper, let me draw out what I've been thinking, so he starts sketching and we're discussing what we could put where and everything.

Munchkin, who has been listening quietly to the conversation, suddenly says, "I KNOW. I can help you! We'll get some pink paint and paint the living room."

"PINK?!" Mommy and daddy look at each other and inwardly bust out laughing.

"Yeah! Pink! And PURPLE. Pink and purple, daddy!!! Pink and purple living room! I can help!"

"Sounds like a Barbie Dream House," I said, trying to sound serious!

Okay, then we just couldn't help it. We had to laugh. She was just SOOO serious! LOL.

So next time we have company, and the living room is pink and purple? You'll know whose idea that was!!! LOL!

Ready, Set, STOP.

Yeah....that's what I'M ready for....the END of this thing!

Time has been really draggin today. I am whupped. Don't know what the deal is, but I am just totally beat this drive. I shouldn't be since I've really behaved and been in bed before 10:30 every night, which is totally early for me....and I'm only getting up about 45 minutes earlier than I normally get up....well, I should say when I'm SUPPOSED to get up normally. HAH.

So why am I soooo tired? I have no idea.

Oh and it's been totally wacky at work this week, too. I told my hubby it was a good thing I don't have a deadly weapon....several somebodies might have been maimed at several different times this week. UGH. I am SO ready to quit. At one point I did use the weapon in my mouth...when I sent someone packin and told him not to come back. LOL. Just kiddin....kinda. HAHA. I didn't really send him packin, but the rest.....*evil grin* And there are a few people that are on STAFF that I wish I could do that to....LOL.

Kay....I'll stop complaining now.

What a week. Is it over yet?

Funny from last night. Exhausted mommy was crashing on the couch working on the church newsletter for a few minutes before doing the kids bath and bed routines and the kids were watching a Gaither video (ya know, all spiritual and all...LOL)....Munchkin and K-man both had their play microphones and were "singing" along and basically "copying" the people on the video. HEHEHEHE. So it was the Gaither Vocal Band and they were singing the song that goes, "God is good, yes, He is, He's good all the time, God is good, you know He is, He's good all the time, you can search the whole world over, no greater friend you'll find, He's not good just once in awhile, He's good all the time." You know, it's real....bouncy and all....so Munchkin and K-man are rockin an boppin along (free hand in the air or clapping against the mic...haha) and Munchkin's singin it like this: "God is good, YES HIM IS..." and she is singing with CONFIDENCE. LOL! I was crackin up!!! So funny.

Who Are You Worried About?

John 21:19 This spake He, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, He saith unto him (Peter), Follow me.
John 21:20 Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee?
John 21:21 Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do?
John 21:22 Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.
John 21:23 Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?

I was listening to the radio going home last night from work and turned it to 91.1 in hopes that Adventures in Odyssey would come on to keep me awake driving home. Unfortunately, Whit and the gang must not come on til 7:30, if they still come on at all on that station...I'm not sure.

Anywho, so I ended up listening to a radio evangelist for half an hour, and while he said some things that I did NOT agree with, he did leave me with some things to mull over while fighting sleep on my drive.....

- Jesus told Peter to do something: to follow Him.
- Peter stopped doing what Jesus told him to do to ask about his fellow disciples.
- Jesus said "What's that to you....do what I said!"
- Then on top of that, it spread to the other brethren and they also wondered about their fellow disciples, and Jesus had to get onto them, too.

When Bouncer first stayed with us, he would always be interested in making sure that Munchkin didn't get more than he did or be allowed to do something that he wasn't allowed to do, and the quote was started in our house, "Who are you worried about?" After a few times of that, he got the picture and while still needing a reminder from time to time, from then on, he'd answer, "ME."

It amazes me how it's such a common quality. Two months after Bouncer left, when K-man arrived, it didn't take long for Munchkin to start "worrying" about K-man. It's taking her a lot longer to get it, but it's slowly sinking in.

"But Mom, K-man has chocolate milk!!!"
"Who are you worried about?"
"Not anybody!"
"That's what I thought!"

"Munchkin, please pick up your books."
"But K-man got them out."
"But you helped. Who are you worried about? I told YOU to pick them up."
"But......"
"But I'm mommy and I'll worry about K-man....you worry about YOU!"

Well, you know...and it just never ends.

And yet, we do it, too. Jesus tells us to do something and we respond with "But ____ isn't doing anything....what about them?"

Or when we hear someone else say, "that person isn't doing anything" then WE wonder....hey, yeah, what about them? And Jesus is really just saying...."Will you just do what I told you and let ME worry about them?"

So simple, and yet, so hard.

Yet the question remains: Who are you worried about?
